Cozy atmosphere and perfect service. The dishes were well presented and tasteful. All ingredients in the menu super fresh, seasonal and local!Congrats to the team, would definitely opt for the meat menu next time if we had another day in El Cuyo (chose the fish menu, there is a vegetarian menu as well)

Great food at a reasonable price. This is MOWGLI AKA MIMISIKU and they are open even though Google says is not. Alex's cooking is amazing, with small portions and tasty dishes. I would recommend you visit El Cuyo.

Such gracious hosts to this family owned upscale spot in El cuyo. No alcohol, but the neighborhood store is real cheap and they allow outside beers.

Let’s talk about a perfect dining experience…Walking into the restaurant you are greeted by Alex and his amazing wife. Surrounded by trees, plants and a great display of hand picked decors, the tables are made from beautiful local wood and the seating couldn’t make you feel more at home. This is a small venue but it’s the perfect size as you get a close up view of the kitchen and the love Alex puts into every dish. The food is beyond anything you’ll find in El Cuyo. It’s not traditional Mexican cuisine, it’s European influenced. The fish is caught every morning, the beef is hand picked for the highest quality and the vegetables are also locally sourced. Alex ONLY has local ingredients in each dish. The food we had tonight was perfectly balanced in all 4 senses. The smell of the food cooking will have you excited even before you take your first bite. The presentation of each dish makes it apparent that Alex cares about each and every plate he puts out, from food placement on the plate to colour combinations to make everything pop. The taste is beyond anything I’ve ever had. Alex ensures that with each bite from start to finish is a journey. The plates are consistently fantastic but each bite has its own story due to the perfect combination of flavours he incorporates into his dishes. Savoury, sweet, bitter and acidity are perfectly executed.Lastly the fourth sense being the feeling you have while dining here. You feel like you’re at your best friend or family’s house on a very important day. As you wait for your food, the music is perfectly fitting for the ambiance, the decors is incredible and Alex and his wife are the most amazing hosts. This is a must visit place if you’re ever in El Cuyo, don’t miss out on a perfect dining experience.

What a find, a real hidden gem. It's now called Mowgli, but such a wonderful experience. Great food, fabulous service and nice touches. For grilled fish and ribs that fall off the bone, a must on your visit to El Cuyo. Grab a bottle of wine on route (they have ice buckets and cork screws).

Felt like a Michelin starred dining. The food was fresh and local. Lots of flavours in the dishes and option for meat, fish or vegetables menu. A visit is a must
